The Extralink SEDIR is a versatile media converter designed to convert Ethernet transmission over copper UTP/FTP cables into optical fiber transmission using SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) modules. It is intended for Ethernet network expansion and allows transmission distances of up to 80 km, depending on the SFP module used.

The device features simple plug-and-play installation and easy operation. Its operating status can be monitored locally via diagnostic LEDs on the front panel. Extralink SEDIR supports multiple transmission speeds and media types, including 10/100/1000 Mb/s, as well as Jumbo Frames up to 9216 bytes. It is a cost-effective alternative to popular media converters such as the TP-Link MC220L.
